TOPC participants can continue the week by attending the Pickleball World Cup semifinals.

Official Competition Format

Team Event (MLP)

Each team registers 4-6 players, with at least two men and two women. A player may compete in no more than two categories and cannot play twice in the same category.

Roster & line-up

4-6 players per team; minimum two men and two women.
One additional male and/or female player may be registered as reserve.
Each player may play in a maximum of two categories.
No player changes after the Line-up Form is submitted.

Tournament progression

18 teams drawn into four groups: two groups of five and two groups of four.
Top two in each group advance to the upper-pool quarterfinals.
Third and fourth place teams enter the lower-pool elimination bracket.
Bottom teams in Groups A and D meet in a one-off match.

Scoring Format

One set. No deuce. One timeout.

A tied team match at 2-2 is settled by a doubles DreamBreaker.

Win 3-1 or 4-0. No DreamBreaker required.

Tie 2-2, then win the doubles DreamBreaker.

Tie 2-2, then lose the doubles DreamBreaker.

Regulation loss

Lose 1-3 or 0-4 in regulation games.

Two doubles pairs.
Four-point relay.

1Each team submits two doubles pairings.
2The DreamBreaker uses rally scoring to 15 points.
3Each pair plays four points, then rotates.
4The first team to reach 15 wins the team match.

Equipment & Rules

USAP- and UPA-A-approved paddles are allowed. Niupipo balls are used. The 2026 USA Pickleball receiver's call rules apply in unofficiated matches.

ID Verification

Vietnamese players must present an ID card; international players must present a passport. Every player also needs a Reclub ID because all scores are submitted to Reclub.

SIM & Transportation

Tourist SIMs from Viettel, Vinaphone and Mobifone are available at the airport or through Klook. Grab and Green SM are the easiest ways to travel around Da Nang.

Typical 7-10 day SIM: 100,000-200,000 VND with approximately 5-15 GB.
